On September 16, 2016 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp Slutsk of the series Towns of Belarus.
A series continuation. Beginning No. 1032. Artist: Yauheniya Biadonik. Design: Marina Vitkovskaya. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 13: 131/2. Size of the stamp: 52x29,6 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (2x3) stamps. Size of the sheet: 130x120 mm. Print quantity: 48.000 stamps.
The stamp was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T.  Nepogodin.
Face value M is equal to the air-mail tariff of a postcard abroad.
Slutsk is a town in Minsk region. It is an administrative centre of Slutsk district. It was first mentioned in writing in 1116 as one of the towns of the Principality of Turov. It became the capital of a separate Slutsk Principality in 1160. From 1320-1330 it was a part of the domain of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
Slutsk district is famous for its warriors, sponsors, government officials. The town is also famous for its Saint Sofia of Slutsk, who is among All Belarusian Saints. She is the ideal of piety and great spiritual generosity.
